As unlikely as it may have been — our first opportunity to see fast reputation rising hard core entities Knocked Loose (who are from Kentucky USA) happened for us in Australia!
While on tour there too — LMLCMedia caught up with the band and saw them in action mid January in Newcastle NSW — when they played a set at “The Cambridge” — a very history rich venue for both Australian and touring hard rock shows.
Knocked Loose are for sure not for the meek. They are a critically acclaimed part of that extreme genre of American street style hard core – with a sound that could be described along the lines of bands like Hatebreed.
Fronted by vocalist Bryan Garris — who might remind some of a very young Henry Rollins — the Knocked Loose show was for sure 100% raw aggression which resulted in a obligatory (and sometimes downright dangerous) mosh pit — as rabid Australian fans seemed to take full advantage of the visit.
The band did produce a very powerful and energetic show — with players Cole Cruthfield (rhythm guitar/backing vocals), Issac Hale (lead guitar/backing vocals), Kevin Hotten (bass) and Kevin Kaine (drummer) all effectively backing Garris’s wall-to-wall stage antics.
To date Knocked Loose have two studio releases to their credit — “Laugh Tracks” (2016) and “A Different Shade of Blue” (2019). Both are available on the Pure Noise label.
