LMLC Media crossed paths with ferocious Lone Star State punk rockers – A Giant Dog.
First established in 2008 — this band which has a reputation for touring tirelessly — is widely regarded by many as one of the very best exports from Austin’s (Texas) always creative music scene pool.
Fronted by very energetic and frenzied Sabrina Ellis (Lead singer), the band also features guitarists Andrew Cashen and Andy Bauer, Graham Low (Bass) and Daniel Blanchard (Drums ).
This gig was at the historic and very intimate “The Saint ” setting in Asbury Park , NJ – and it was electrifying . This band’s “nothing to hide ” attitude is brought full force to the stage — as they walked the fine line between darkness & amusement — while performing an awesome set.
A Giant Dog’s first release was Fight, (2012) and in 2013, the band released Bone. In 2016, they signed with Merge Records and with that company produced albums #3 and #4 Pile (2016) and Toy (2017).
Sabrina Ellis and Andrew Cashen also have a side project band — Sweet Spirit — which is equally as entertaining — but maybe with a bit less steroids.
