Butcher Babies are a rather notorious American heavy metal band originating from the underbelly of Los Angeles, California during the early 2010s.
Their marquee sound consists of two dynamic female voices with the bantering of front women Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey – being front and centre (below photo).
The band which has three albums to its credit (Century Media Records) also currently features lead guitarist Henry Flury, bass player Ricky Monazza and drummer Chase Brickenden.
While citing artists and bands such as Pantera, Guns N’ Roses, Marilyn Manson, Slayer and Slipknot as being influential, the group officially points directly to hard core rock and roll music’s “original sinner” Wendy O Williams as well as her notorious band The Plasmatics as their main mentors. In fact the band’s name “Butcher Babies” was taken from the Plasmatics signature song “Butcher Baby”!
