Connecticut metal group — Boundaries — have announced their highly anticipated debut full-length, Your Receding Warmth (due out November 13th) via Unbeaten Records.
To mark the momentous occasion, the band shared the devastating lead single “Carve” with an accompanying music video that follows the good and bad that rushes into one’s life to fill an emotional gap. Recorded with producer Randy Leboeuf at Graphic Nature Audio, Your Receding Warmth finds the band sounding bigger, better, and meaner than ever with a new concoction of searing riffs, crushing breakdowns, and intimate lyrics delivered with vessel-bursting rage. Your Receding Warmth is available to preorder here and the music video for “Carve” is available to watch on YouTube (HERE) as well as to stream on Spotify.
Boundaries have been turning heads since their 2015 formation in central Connecticut. Anchored by a terrifying live set and EPs that have reached the status of ‘underground classic’, the quintet has bubbled just below the surface for the past three years as they toured relentlessly, sharing stages with the likes of The Acacia Strain, Currents, Knocked Loose, and Spite.
After truly established their identity with the release of their 2019 EP My Body In Bloom, the band returns this fall with their debut full-length, taking more chances than ever while building upon their inherent ferocity, stories of bleak existence, and the knack for keeping an audience on their toes that has drawn so many people to the band. They manage to paint a picture of the cold and, at times monotonous, march of life but never let the listener settle in, instead plunging them through the emotional turmoil that develops as existence becomes harsher and less forgiving as it continues.
Boundaries and Unbeaten Records have been spearheading a resurgence of ruthless metalcore over the past few years. Your Receding Warmth is the culmination of all the hard work the band and label have put into pushing the genre into new territory.
